Submitting complaints or whistleblower reports
Ascent is committed to complying with all applicable laws wherever we operate. It is a core aspect of our mission that we act with integrity in all of our operations. We will not pay nor procure the payment of a bribe or unlawful fee to encourage the performance of a task or one which is intended or likely to compromise the integrity of another. We will not accept any payment, gift or inducement from a third party which is intended to compromise our own integrity.
We expect these high standards from all our investment partners and portfolio companies. Our team and those of our in-country advisory companies have day-to-day working relationships with the companies we are invested in and we are responsible for implementing this policy.
We welcome the reporting of any suspicions of money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery, corruption, or other financial malpractices, as well as activities harmful to the environment, health, or safety. This includes criminal actions, breaches of corporate governance, unethical behavior undermining integrity or fairness, undisclosed conflicts of interest, insider abuse, and failure to comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
